Aagan Foods Mustard Oil brings the bold, sharp flavors of the village press (kohlu) right to your kitchen. We understand that true mustard oil is defined by its pungency—that signature “zing” that tickles the nose and indicates the presence of active natural compounds. To preserve this, we strictly utilize the cold-pressing method (Kachi Ghani). Unlike industrial extraction which uses high heat and chemical solvents like hexane to extract maximum oil, our cold-press method uses mechanical pressure without heat. This ensures that the oil’s natural antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and distinctive aroma remain intact.
The oil we deliver is deep amber in color and completely free from adulteration with cheaper palm or arginine oils. It is raw, pure, and unfiltered. Mustard oil has long been a staple in South Asian cooking, prized for its incredibly high smoke point.
